Hop to It!
It’s been a bit hard to be in the season I’m in this year. January was a blur with the snow and ice. February came on strong. Valentine’s Day is the Christmas we didn’t get to fully plan for and it came and went without the best laid plans. Despite the extra day granted, I took a giant leap into March and somehow we are already to the halfway mark. I’m looking ahead in hopes to find a little more luck this month, but what I really need is to linger at the foot of the cross to find all the four leaf clovers growing in the space, the space left for us to find them.
It’s easier to think about the fun parts we’ve made Easter into … the great hunt for candy filled eggs, the bunnies, baby chicks and the new life hatching in the Spring. However, it’s the green grass they chomp on, the grass full of clover, which brings all the nourishment needed to the driest, poorest dirt that ever existed.
There is no surprise this is the time to plant the clover, just before the season of our Easter celebration. For all the tears that fell across three days of darkness, a sprig of green sprouted from a tiny seed and set in motion our own tiny hunt for the good stuff meant for us: life eternal for the little lambs, the stubborn donkeys, the wild birds, and also for the likes of us.
