September Says

I used to love the game Simon Says.  There was something about the focus and attention I had to give the game.  I felt so disappointed when I missed  such a simple instruction and got out.  The game is actually so easy.  Just do what Simon says.  When we make life as simple as possible, we can win.  Most of us, however, overthink what is expected or we get distracted.  We often think too far ahead and miss the moment telling us exactly what we should do.  Many of you have read about our next project opening, Second Helpings Cafe inside The Front Porch.  We created a place to learn how to “be” not “do.”  It’s hard sometimes to be present, be focused, be there.  I’ve lived many of my own years very distracted from what was most important.  It was only when I was laid up with a back injury that I learned being present is the way to open up all of the gifts.  Second Helpings Cafe was created out of this desire to be present to one another.  I’m so excited to enjoy the “more” life has to offer.  Sometimes going back for seconds makes the meal more memorable.  You stay longer.  You enjoy more.  You crave making the moment happen again.  September says get ready.   There is more in the making with Sweet LaLa’s and with Second Helpings.
