Love Makes the World Go Round

We have seen the ice and snow melt off the parking lots and sidewalks and life is back in order for many of us.  Although most everyone loves a good snow day, we know how important it is to connect with one another.  As we head into the month of February, we are celebrating how we can best show love to one another.  I had the opportunity to talk to a group of 4th graders and their list of ideas to make life sweeter was so simple…open the door for someone, say hello and smile, make their favorite meal.  It doesn’t even have to cost a penny to let someone know what they mean to you, but we all agree receiving a gift feels incredibly special.  There are so many opportunities for connection this month in store with us and beyond our store walls. Special gift packages have been added to our website, along with a more robust offering of decorating classes and experiences.  Bring a friend or two and join us for a memorable time together.

Our store partnership goals remain aligned with choosing to partner as much as we can with locally sourced vendors.   Rolling out the month of February is our new coffee partner Vinculo.  We look forward to introducing you to the brand so you can taste the many regions and flavors in the beans they roast.  Vinculo translates to connect or to link and coming to our bakery for conversations, meetings and celebrations is what connecting is all about.  

Additionally, we launched a small line of products carried by Joffa.  Joffa is located here in Memphis and sources relationships and products from other countries.  In their words, Every curated product we carry is ethically made, provides dignified employment, and sourced from under-served communities.

There is a lot of love to share in Memphis, TN and around the world.  Let this month be your starting point to create the ripple of sending love in every direction.
