The Wonder of May

May is packed full with reasons to wonder.  Not only do I get to wonder how my team handles all of the orders that come through for appreciation days, graduation and Mother’s Day with such incredible talent and focus, we all get to wonder too.  How do Moms really do it all?  How did my assistant (if you are lucky enough to have one) juggle the workload with such grace? How does time move so quickly and our kids grow up so fast?   There are big celebrations for graduating Senior K all the way to a Masters degree and beyond.  The steady work of a team member should be noticed with a nice sweet surprise.  There are quiet moments we may choose to say prayers over our kids who have grown another year.  

We reflect on the mom we are and the mom we want to be.  

Wonder is being curious and in awe of all that takes place around us.  It is acute attention to the things that happen and surprise us in the best way.

We’ve been so lucky and blessed this year at our bakery to add to our bakery team. Several of our team members have become first time moms across this year and others are adding to their families.  Additionally, a few of us experienced the joy of graduations while spending time with friends and family to acknowledge the hard work our kids put in to earn his or her degree.  One of the best things about a family business is you get to invite your family to join in the fun of a day.  On any given day, you might just be lucky enough to see one of these cuties at work in our space.  We like training for the future and we can assure you, the future is bright. 

We thank all of our customers who continually work with us and allow us to be a part of the memories they make.  Let the wonder of May continue as we round out the last days of May to memorialize those who made deep sacrifices.  So many men and women laid down their lives to ensure our freedoms.  Thank a Veteran and all of those who have served our country.  May we love deeply and remember every day is a WONDERful gift.
